Organic Apples

  • Good source of antioxidants
  • Plenty of insoluble fibre

You might not normally see apples as a main ingredient in a dog treat, but we carefully considered the benefits that apples can have for dogs before including them in our products.

We were particularly impressed with the disease-fighting, antioxidant qualities that apples possess. Building your dog’s immune system over time can help keep infections, joint pain, stress and general fatigue at bay.

Fibre does a great job at clearing and cleaning your dog’s digestive tract. It is also a great ally as it aids in the absorption of other nutrients.

Organic Bananas

  • High in Iron
  • Great source of Vitamin A and phosphorus
  • Good source of Vitamin C, potassium and dietary fibre

Bananas are sweet to a dogs palate and are full of health benefits including essential amino acids, electrolytes, minerals, vitamin B and C, potassium, fiber, and manganese. Bananas also assist in maintaining blood pressure, digestive tract function, fluid balance and heart function.

Organic Buckwheat Flour

  • High in Fibre
  • Grain-free
  • Contains B vitamins
  • Hypo-allergenic

Buckwheat flour is NOT a grain. It can be confusing to some as it has “wheat” in its name, but Buckwheat Flour is actually derived from a fruit seed. It contains important B vitamins (b1, b2, b3, b5, b6) , 8 essential amino acids and required minerals (chromium, phosphorous, copper, iron, zinc, folic acid, manganese and magnesium). Buckwheat flour assists with digestion, liver function, and circulation.

Organic Blueberries

Blueberries are little power houses packed full of good stuff. Known for their antioxidant properties, the free radical –scavaging vitamin C, and manganese help keep a strong immune system . Vitamin K helps with blood clotting and the fibre helps things “move along”.

Organic Peanut Butter

  • Good source of niacin
  • Good source of Vitamin B3
  • Full of protein
  • Contains folate and copper
  • Provides antioxidants

Peanuts are not a true nut, they are in legume family and related to the pea. Peanuts are jam-packed (no pun intended) full of the good stuff; niacin, vitamin B3, protein, folate, copper and various antioxidants. To top it off, peanut butter is also a great source of ‘heart healthy’ monounsaturated fats.

Organic Cinnamon

  • Good source of manganese
  • Good source of fibre
  • Source of iron
  • Source of calcium
  • Anti-fungal
  • Anti-bacterial
  • Anti-parasitic

Cinnamon is ‘magical’ spice! Cinnamon is a good source of manganese, which supports a healthy immune system. As well, it is packed full of fibre, thus encouraging a healthy digestive system. Studies have also shown the cinnamon can also aid in the regulation of blood sugar.

Organic Coconut

  • High in fibre
  • Source of protein
  • Contains healthy coconut oil
  • Grain-free
  • Hypo-allergenic

The health benefits of this flour are like an undiscovered gold mine. Coconut flour is made from the coconut meat, it is then finely ground into a powder. The end product contains more fibre then any known flour, it also contains 14% coconut oil. Coconut oil is known to aid in skin/coat maintenance, increase immunity, assist with diabetes, helping regulate blood sugar. Some other benefits of coconut oil can be attributed to the presence of lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid which are antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, and antibacterial. The list of benefits goes on and on. We are proud to use this nutritious flour in our product, not to mention, it’s DELICIOUS!

Each Slobbers treat is packed with yummy goodness – that will keep your dog’s tail wagging and tongue hanging!
